Environmental awards competition extended to Aug. 16
Since most company facilities were down the past several weeks, nominations for the 2009 Environmental Leadership Awards are being extended to Aug. 16.
Projects are being accepted in four categories:
Category A: Production-related environmental protection. Projects implemented by the facility staff to improve the environmental performance at production sites and manufacturing facilities
Category B: Product-related environmental protection. Projects related to environmental improvements of products in research & development, operation and end of life of products or disposal
Category C: Extraordinary efforts for the environment/extraordinary environmental responsibility. Projects that result in improvements with respect to external and internal communication, environmental awareness, environmental health and welfare conditions of the community, locally and regionally
Category D: Dealership Green Initiative. Dealerships that have included green practices in their facilities
Nomination forms and detailed information can be found in the following Lotus Notes database: notes://sshcda12.wk.dcx.com/data/ela/ela.nsf
As in previous competitions, an executive-level Selection Committee will choose the winners. The winning projects will be announced at an award ceremony.
Teams that already have submitted their projects and would like to make changes should contact Jackie Marshall a jam23 or tieline 776-7374, or Dave Lewon at dl700 or tieline 776-7349.
