Saldana reels in third-place at River Cities
Team Mopar® driver Joey Saldana added yet another podium result to his impressive list of top-five runs in the 2008 Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series. Saldana and his Mopar-powered Kasey Kahne Racing machine finished third in Friday night’s 40-lap A-main at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D. Saldana’s third-place finish at River Cities was certainly well-deserved. He lined up seventh at the start, but lost a couple of positions in the typical opening-lap traffic jam. But the Indiana driver fought his way forward, storming around the high groove on the banked turns of the claustrophobic 3/10-mile bullring. Saldana gunned his Budweiser/Open Joist Sprinter into the top five, and ultimately to third. Saldana currently sits fourth in the WoO series standings.
