New Ram called a vast improvement
One test-drive in the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 was all it took to convince Detroit News writer Scott Burgess “the pickup wars just got a lot more interesting.” Burgess wrote “inside and out, the new Ram is miles ahead of its predecessor in ride, comfort and innovation.” He particularly liked the Ram 1500’s new seats, calling them “downright comfortable,” with “nice bolsters to hold you in place when driving off-road,” yet “cushy on the highway. Overall, Burgess called Ram’s new interior ” well planned and executed, with an “open and clean” dash and a five-guage instrument cluster that is “simple, neat and easy to read.” The RamBox, Burgess described as “hands-down the coolest feature on any pickup sold today. A standout feature that could put a few more people in a Dodge this year.” Summing up the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, Burgess said, “Making a stronger Ram may have pleased a few customers who have genuine needs for a more powerful truck, but creating a better Ram just makes more sense.”
