In the months of August and September, Chrysler U.S. employees and retirees increased the company’s vehicle sales total by 6,351 by participating in the employee CDI (Certain Designated Individual) program.

The program enabled employees and retirees to provide the employee price on most Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles to a person of their choosing.

Of the 6,351 added sales, 4,006 were generated by employees and 2,345 by retirees.

Engineering employees created 1,140 sales, while Sales and Marketing employees totaled 1,112 sales.

While the employee CDI program expired Sept. 30, the original CDI program for U.S. employees at grade bands 96 and above remains in effect until Jan. 2, 2009.
