Harris Jones to receive Professional Achievement Award

Kim Harris Jones, Senior Vice President — Corporate Controller and Auditor, will be honored Saturday by Women of Color magazine with the “Women of Color Professional Achievement in Industry Award” at the annual National Women of Color Technology Conference in Dallas.

This award honors exceptional women who are making outstanding contributions in their field and are role models and leaders for others.

“The Women of Color award clearly identifies some of the most influential business and community leaders in the United States,” said Ronald Kolka, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. “Chrysler is proud that Women of Color magazine and Career Communications Group recognize Kim’s extraordinary accomplishments as a corporate leader.”

Harris Jones was presented for the award by Frank Fountain, Senior Vice President –- External Affairs and Public Policy, Chrysler LLC.

Harris Jones was appointed Senior Vice President — Corporate Controller and Auditor in September and is responsible for the company’s corporate financial activities, including business planning, short- and medium-term financial forecasting and all internal and external audit functions.

Harris Jones gives back to the community through her philanthropic and community activities. She is a Board Member and past President of the Board for The Boys and Girls Republic Youth Home in Farmington Hills, Mich. In 2007, she was named to the Crain’s Detroit Business list of “Most Influential Women” and received the Peter C. Thorpe Leadership Award from the Consortium for Study in Graduate Management.
