Review: Dodge Journey nails the mom factor
A hockey-mom journalist claims the Dodge Journey makes life easier to navigate through hockey weekends, grocery shopping and family activities. ”Never before had I been in a vehicle that does more to make life easier for moms,” Sarah MacWhirter from The Globe and Mail admitted.
Top on her list is the practical and convenient storage, starting with the bin under the front passenger seat for stowing her purse, to the “consideration-for-mom” factor in the spacious back cargo area. MacWhirter said the ultimate mom factor in the Journey is the tri-fold cargo floor that conceals a carpeted storage section large enough to hold many items that you may not want in clear view.
She liked the full 90 degree opening for the doors and the adjustable rear seats that, when moved back, provide more leg room.
“The Dodge Journey has a visual presence, a certain wow factor. It looks big,” MacWhirter said. “It’s not a hybrid, but the Dodge Journey impresses. And that price tag, at $20,000 base, makes it a first-round pick.” The Globe and Mail (Toronto)
