Chrysler de Mexico honored for gender equity
The Mexican federal government’s Women’s National Institute, the organization in charge of leading that nation’s policies to achieve equal opportunities between men and women, has granted an Equity Gender Certificate to Chrysler Mexico. The award was given for the group’s actions to combat discriminatory customs and practices and to promote a culture of equity between both sexes.
Chrysler de Mexico obtained this recognition after a third party organization examined the company’s procedures to verify its implementation and compliance of equity codes and standards. The certification ensures that men and women enjoy the same employment conditions, salary, benefits and promotions, as well as having access to different levels in the organization, including senior management positions.
This award reinforces Chrysler de Mexico’s commitment to develop an organization that empowers its employees and recognizes them based on their merits, efforts and talents.
