No decision on increased salary staffing levels
The company issued the following statement Thursday regarding a Detroit Free Press story about salary staffing levels:
“Today’s Detroit Free Press contained an article speculating that the Chrysler Group is preparing to rehire an unspecified number of salaried workers.
At this time, no decisions have been made regarding an increase in salaried staffing levels. Chrysler Group continually evaluates its human resource needs and objectives with the goal of assuring that its work force is well-qualified and effective. In order to achieve that end, Chrysler Group applies Human Resource practices that will allow it to identify and retain individuals who have the knowledge, skills and abilities that will meet the company’s current and future operating needs.”
